Check out their website here: https://www.abraham-hicks.com Way before I was ever a coach in 2005, I first received Esther and Jerry's book, Ask and It is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires. It was the greatest book I have ever been gifted! My parents gave me the book after I just graduated from college December 2004. I was 26. I was kind of depressed that January. I had thrived at this magical Prescott College, after flunking out at the Ohio State University and floundering around for 2 years of working experience, I had found this perfect school for me. I had the perfect teachers, and that is where I met my future wife Jessica.
Also, I had just completed one of my coolest projects--directing a professional stage production of A Christmas Carol. It was normal for me to be depressed after finishing a theatre production. This was my largest to date project though and It was a huge success for me. And I didn't have something else to jump into yet.
And I didn't really like the housing situation I was in. Me and Jessica, who is my wife now of 14 years, were living in this hotel room. The hotel wanted to be a dorm for college kids and I was the resident advisor for the dorm, except there were no other students living there. It was a bust. It was just a weird and creepy living place. I had just auditioned for the role of Hamlet with the Shakespeare company, Arizona Shakespeare Festival, I was working with. And I got the smaller role of Gravedigger instead. I didn't know about "there are no small roles only small actors" yet. It all worked out great but I was depressed that I thought I was going to get Hamlet and then didn't. I was feeling crappy. My self esteem was low. So no school, or theatre going on yet and I didn't have a job yet. I didn't have a car. I played a lot of computer games. Anyway, thats when I received the book and it changed my life! No book had resonated with me so much! I resonated with concepts like
YOU ARE A CREATOR; YOU CREATE WITH YOUR EVERY THOUGHT.
and THE BASIS OF YOUR LIFE IS FREEDOM; THE PURPOSE OF YOUR LIFE IS JOY.
and RELAX INTO YOUR NATURAL WELL-BEING. ALL IS WELL. (REALLY IT IS!)
Abraham has described themselves as “a group consciousness from the non-physical dimension” And I called up my parents and was like "Is this real?" I knew that it was true though. And this was my beginning into #lawofattraction #alignment #consciouscreation #manifesting and #enjoyingthejourney Soon after reading the book, I ended up feeling better. I started feeling more positive. I started to be more optimistic. I started to feel more confident! I started to feel more lighthearted! I got a job waiting tables at a restaurant I really liked. And that was a huge win! I made more money than I ever had! We ended up getting a cool apartment! I ended up getting a car at a massive steal of a deal. I got a second job being an assistant theatre director for a private high school. Jessica and I, who had been engaged for a while but hadn't set a date or start to plan a wedding, got really excited about planning a dream wedding! We set a date a year away and had an amazing time planning it! I will eventually tell all the stories that happened over the next 16 years! I was set up for the most uplifting adventures! I have read Ask and It is Given countless times! I have read it over and over again studying it like a bible! I have purchased it many times for many clients. It's still today my favorite book I have ever read! And the first book I recommend! So The Teachings of Abraham for me have been truly transformational! Here's to manifesting!
